Switching to a Pinterest Business account
Today’s post is short and sweet but a MUST if you want to use Pinterest as a marketing tool for your wedding business. In a few easy steps I’m going to show you how to convert your personal profile to a business account.
Why? Well, you’re going to need to be a business account in order to access analytics, create Pinterest ads and get access to cool new features when they come out!
Alight, here are a couple options for you.
Option 1: Keep your personal account and create a new one for business.
I like this option if your current account wasn’t bringing you a lot of view and followers and your boards were focused on home decor, recipes and workout sequences.
To do that you will:
- If you have a personal account, log out
- Go to pinterest.com/business/create/
- Fill out your email, password and business name then select a business type
- Click Create account
Option 2: Convert your personal account to a business.
I like this if you’re already pretty active on your personal page and already have a good amount of wedding content. We’ll just need to make your personal boards secret and you’ll be on your way!
To do that you will:
- Log in to your account
- Go to pinterest.com/business/convert/
- Fill out your business name and website then select a business type
- Click Create account
